Pine Cone (Porcupine) Balls

1 lb ground beef
1/3 cup dry (uncooked) rice
1/3 cup minced onion
1/3 cup chopped/minced green pepper

Season to taste with salt & pepper.  Mold into balls, place in roaster & cover w/ 1 can of Campbell's Tomato Soup.  Adding bay leaf is optional (but not if you're making it for Steve).  Mother never used it.

Cook slowly about 3 hours at 350 degrees.
